Although I have been extremely pleased with wearing cloth diapers at night - I went 149 nights without a leak, on the 150th night I did have a leak (I think my plastic pants did not completely cover the top of the back). That was when I was very glad that I also had a reusable bed pad!

So after decades of always waking up to pee, I just found out a whole lot of Japanese Sake will make me pee a whole lot in my sleep (american alcohol doesn't do that to me no matter how much I drink). My confidry24/7 with baby diaper booster finally failed me for the first time in about a year. This was that one time I was glad to still be using a bed pad. (Especially since I was in a hotel).

What ever kind of pad you decide to go with, this is why you would be using one.

there's a lot of adult branded bed pads. I don't understand why anyone would want to buy kids brands unless....

....Unless they realize kid and baby brands can work just as good or better and are much cheaper too.

By the way, I really hope you weren't going to say they are pedophiles because that would be way off from true and is completely baseless.

I myself use pampers size 1 diapers as overnight booster pads. I could buy the adult pads and guards like I used to, but they don't work as good and cost more at the same time. Others on here have also mentioned they buy adult diapers with baby prints on them too. Not for the prints, but because they work better and leak less often. As for the goodnite bed pads, they stick to the bed so they won't crumple up in the night. I don't know of any other disposable bed pads that do this so it too makes plenty of sense to use them.

In other words, there are a bunch of logical and sound reasons for buying "kid and baby" stuff, so please don't jump to any conclusions.

Maybe I just have a different way of thinking about this but to me, having to wear a diaper at night, I want to NOT feel babyish or anything like that. I'm not even a huge fan of using the word diaper, but sometimes you gotta call a spade a spade. Maybe it's just a hangup I have but being a bedwetter I'd rather not have kids bedwetting products around, it just wouldn't make me feel very good about things. To each his own though. I wasn't passing judgment, if it came off that way.

MikeJames, I'm sorry that your life sucks so much right now that you feel the need to put down people who have extended moral support and viable solutions. I hope life gets better for you and that you will get back to being the stand-up person I hope you were before your bladder problems became a cause of angst.

i actually wanna try these. for the sheer fact that they stick to the bed. the bed pads i get from medicaid are so slick on the back that with all my tossing and turning at night they dont stand a chance. and im a side sleeper who wears disposables, sooooo....

If I used bed mats, I would probably try goodbyes. For one thing, they're cheaper. They are apparently sticky on one side, so they stay put. I could buy them without people assuming they were for me. I don't see any down side.

I wasn't putting anyone down Wetters. I suppose I just didn't understand the reasoning behind choosing kids products.

I never heard of abdl until recently and have discovered some other boards are infested with it. It was wrong of me to assume that would be the only reason to use such products.
