I just recently purchased the Mcguire comdom cath. to see whether this was a viable solution instead of diapers.

what I found out, was two things.
1. the Mcguire comdom part does seem to fold no matter what I do = potential leak
2. the fluid in the lag bag tend to "slosh" around making a loud noise = embarrassment

I went back to using diapers. However

I just stumbled across this comdom cath version
http://www.ppshealthcare.com/Simplicity ... ecial.html

I ordered their sample pack and are now waiting for it to arrive.
does anyone have any experience with the "simplicity incontinence underwear?

for me it seems to be the perfect solution......

The McGuire urinal works very well but comes with a lousy bag.
I have used McGuire for many years with great success but I never liked the bag which took me too many Health Stores looking for something better.

Now days I use a Foley Catheter 24/7 I need it I cannot go on my own.
But using a Foley I still have to use a bag and most bags I just do not like.

My thoughts.

Most bags are narrow and long and when it has some urine in it walking it sloshes around.

What I found in my search.

Coloplast Leg Bags>>>> 51 oz. (1500 mL) Extra Large with 36" tubing I found then to be among the best never had one leak.
They are 500ml bigger than most bags which I like and they are wider I don’t hear urine sloshing and nether does my wife, it works for me.

I use Bard wide lag bag straps. These straps are about 11/2 wide and soft cloth and last a long time washing in the washer with other closes.

I much prefer catheters to control incontinence.

I just use a Condom catheter, which is approved by my insurance plan. I use the Conveen Optima from Colorplast they stay put and I am confident with them I also use their leg bags which are baffled so they don't slosh! My monthly supplies run $80 with my copay about $30. I don't have to worry about leaking or the dumb diaper falling apart in this heat.
