The cost of the med depends on your insurance. For Deen_ad, it was $75. For me it was only $3 I think for the generic, or $9 for name brand.

DDAVP has been generic for over a year now. The one I used was Desmopressin Acetate. I did not have any side effects taking this drug. But as deen_ad mentioned, the back up of urine held back from the pill will come out as the drug wears off.
One side effect it has though, which I guess is good, is it has been reported it sharpens you memory. College students have taken this drug before a big exam and it helps them recall things studied for a test. My two cents worth! ....Paul Martin

That would be called prescription drug abuse. It's a huge problem in this nation and is generally a very bad idea.
