I've bit the bullet and made an appt with a urologist early next month. My insurance has a huge deductible so I told them to ignore my insurance and treat me as a cash patient. The business office indicated a 60% discount off services with $100 down. The initial consult before discount is $300-$500, $127 for the "finger in the rear" test and $773 for the ultrasound test of the prostate.
not as bad as I thought.
