I note that the guard itches the inside of my left leg. i think its because the underwear always moves some and so the plastic layer of the guard rubs against my leg periodically.
Lastly the Dignity briefs definitely don't fit to the manufacturer's size. Runs much smaller than they should. Throwing them away.

As far as the rubbing is concerned a good tight trunk brief or Lycra cycling type shorts would help. One tip is to make sure that the brief/shorts fabric goes right into both crotches either side of the man bits. When bending crouching is also good at reducing the movement.
I too found that the size does not always match reality and it is trial and error take Attends I wear a Medium Active 9 mini diaper during the day when away from home and a Large Regular Plus 10 diaper at night or when I am at home both fit the same.

How would I answer you wife? She's right! Getting your pants wet when there are ways to protect yourself from that is the proper way of doing things. To leave a bathroom with wet pants when it could have easily been controlled with the many products are out there & her way of protecting yourself from that is easy enough so why not take her advice? And some people do have a problem with washing clothes with urine stained clothes also needs to be respected. I don't think she's asking too much of you. Respect her wishes & get yourself a diaper that can handle your situation & move on with life

The depends guard performed fairly well yesterday, a relaxed lazy day. It held up the entire day and never got unstuck except for the top inch or so. It was real fat and noticeable between my legs for the 1st half - 3/4 of the day but by night time was not noticeable at all, as it had softened and flexed. I do think that at my part time job (stocking at a liquor store) the guard would have made me very sweaty. Just sitting around yesterday almost made me sweaty so I think activity would have made it worse as the plastic backing of the product prevents good airflow.
Today I'm trying a Tena Flex product which is akin to a loincloth No padding (or anything else) on the sides at all, just a belt around the waist which the diaper front sticks too. It is thin but very uncomfortable for sitting on hard chairs or pews. I have this narrow pad in the middle of my butt and I want to roll sideways off of it. The velcro tabs are very wide, thick, stiff and will badly dig into you if not placed correctly on the belt part.
My sample of Depend shields hasn't arrived yet so I'll post when I've tried those.
My thinking right now is wearing a guard or shield most times but wearing a diaper when working at the liquor store. With the help of powder I didn't get hot at all wearing a Northshore diaper during my 8 hr shift Wed. I'll give these Tena's every opportunity but at 1st glance the fastening system is a pain in the butt and a real physical pain should I not get the velcro just right.

If pads are working for you, then try Tena's guards for men, they're much softer than Depend guards

Here's my take so far: The Prevail guards are way more comfortable than Depends but I did experience leakage with it (I guess I wasn't pointed right!) so I'm a little concerned about using Guards. I'm testing a Depends shield this morning but it is so thin (3 oz capacity) that I'm not convinced it's for me. I have tested various diapers too:
Tena flex - tapes are stiff and really hurt if you don't get them just right. Pain in the butt to use the toilet because of retaping issues.
Select -threw them out. Sounds like I was wearing a potato chip bag
Dignity - too small to fit. Threw them out.
Tena (regular?) - order on the way to try them out
Attends Breathable - order on the way to try them out
Northshore brand - way for absorbent than I need but very comfortable and the tapes hold up throughout the day.
I thinking of using both guards of some sort as well as diapers, even if it could be considered overkill.
Going to church with tight dress pants - guard
Having a low volume day - guard
Gunking my hemmorhoids with cream/meds - diaper
Having a higher volume day - diaper
To summarize, what I will use may depend on the day and the events of the day.

Let me finish by saying that my wife is happy that I'm willing to wear something. I don't think she cares a whit what.

Hi, gtrudeau88. You mentioned that you wear boys' size underwear. Kimberly-Clark has recently introduced a product under its Goodnites line called "Tru-Fit". It's a pad-and-pants system, with a washable pant and a disposable absorbent pad that fits inside the pant. The product is designed for bedwetting children (gender-specific-styles for boys and girls, but I think the main target is boys aged 11-14). I would think that the product would work for daytime as well as overnight. I don't know your geographical location, but you can likely check them out/order online.

Thanks. The Tru-Fits recommended weight range is up to 100lb and I'm 117lbb so I'm dubious as to the product fitting me ok. I've tried other brands disposable underwear (like goodnites) and the products are usually too small for me. Goodnites themselves would fit but the designs for some reason make me feel more like a kid than wearing a brief does.

I hadn't realized that Tru-Fit only fits up to 100 lbs., and that really surprises me. Goodnites fit up to 125 lbs., and they appear to be designed for a younger child.

Have you tried the Tena Male Guards? Seem to work pretty good for me.
