Naive question: are you supposed to wear Gary Wear Active Briefs shiny side out or in? Or does it matter? I could see using the fabric side out to reduce chafing on your legs but maybe you're supposed to only use them one way.

Maybe another dumb question: has anyone ever found anything similar to the Gary Wear Active that has sealed seams? I like the fit but the side seams can leak. I found some low rise vinyl pants (which fit great) that had sealed side seams but had cotton leg and waist bands. That's not going to work. I'm not wearing this stuff as a style.

I'm really sick of looking at all these things, maybe someone has had a similar experience.

I've used the Gary Active Brief with the tags on the outside, so when I put them on, looking down the tags will be on the left side.

I've never had a leak from the seams, not that it couldn't happen, it never has with me.

I've had leaks while sleeping (on my side). They aren't completely waterproof. Part of it was not having the right protection. I've since figured that part out, i think. I still will not wear them to bed.

The most important issue for me is the absolute dependability of the cover pant. I do not mind paying more to get that security. I buy the Euroflex Original the Euroflex High Waist and the PUL cover pants from Changing times Diaper Company in Nevada. It is pricy with US dollars duty and shipping to Canada , but they do seem to outlast plastic pants in my opinion. I also use rubber pants from Rearz . They do need special care but I have almost never had a leak at night with a rubber pant plus the Euroflex high waist. It is like a one two punch against leaks.

I'd like try Euroflex but I haven't found a place that has my size and with the high waist. Thanks for the heads up on changing times I have'nt really checked out their stuff that much. I get annoyed pretty quickly with all these places when I see all the ABDL crap mixed in. That's fine, its a business; but it makes it more frustrating when your trying to sort out what is made to work for incontinence, and what is fetish-wear.

It's a strange world.

I also NEED cover pants to do their job. The spontaneity of my problem, and failure of even the best protection leaves me in absolute, constant anxiety. I thankfully haven't had any embarrassing episodes at work recently, but the possibility that it could happen makes me fearful of doing practically anything outside my house. Not to mention the degradation of self confidence I already have from needing to wear diapers. A leak in public is just something I can't have happen.

The value of a site like this one is the wealth of tried and true experiences shared by the many contributors. Years of them and so many product improvements as well. It was a huge help when I first started looking for protection. Your post brings back the very same strong emotions , fears and the many frustrating experiences I personally had before finally finding the ISC.
btw..... I just checked the Changing times site and they have a quantity on hand link to current inventory on the right hand side of the opening page. Euroflex High waist and regular Euroflex comfort pants are available in all sizes.
During the day I use what ever diaper and boosters I need depending on the length of time I will be out. Next over the diaper a PUL cover pant, over that a light cotton spandex pant, over that the Euroflex pant, and then another light cotton spandex pant to finish up. My jeans are the next size up and most people just think I put on some weight ( I just smile ). I was just paranoid about leaks as well because Senior Facility Consultants do not wet their pants . My work involved sitting doing reports, standing, walking a lot dealing with numerous trades ,facility meetings, or modified hands on work projects for eight hours or more . I always had a fresh change available IF needed in the truck right outside my office. I learned to trust my level of protection and that allowed me to concentrate on the work at hand.

Changing Times moved to Las Vegas. Good company in spite of abdl stuff. Owners are responsive, reliable and have fast shipping. I get cloth twill prefolds from them. Best prices I've found. They wear well and can take 100's of washings. I've been dealing with them for 10+ years.

Totally agree with Steve M , Changing Times has great service and good quality twill diapers. Robert and Gayle seem to give a very hands on a personable approach to each order. Due to the exchange, duty and shipping I get my twill prefolds from Rearz in Kitchener Ontario. It is also a great quality diaper . The Rearz rubber pants are good quality too.

Hey Paul,
That's super kind of you to check on that for me. I believe those Euro-Flex pants are the same ones I saw at LL Medico but they didn't have medium in stock. I have concern that the legs are not enclosed or don't say "no-wick" I have stuck in my head that I need that. Maybe they won't leak. If the elastic is like Leakmaster it's probably fine.

I actually just ordered Vinyl Garywear fully enclosed elastics from LL Medico. While I'd prefer PUL or a breathable material I don't see anything that looks like what I think I need.

Your layering idea makes a lot of sense. If something gets out, it has somewhere to absorb. I think I might steal this.

And yes, trying to manage the problem while keeping up appearance, and concentrating at work is a challenge. The thought of being stuck in a meeting I wasn't expecting without being ready protection-wise, stresses me out. I can't go to work looking like I'm wearing an inner tube under my pants either. Ha! There's a good balance I'm sure.

Finding a solution that works for you personally is what it is all about. I hope you can get there sooner than later and truly relax and be less stressed. It took me a very long time to get there myself. The only time I run into trouble is when I push the limits of the diaper. Your own personal experience will tell you when it is time to change. I am sure there are many here that can attest to the fact that the best plastic or pul cover pant system in the world will not hold back Niagara Falls they were never meant to.
