As Brian has noted, some of us in this group, who are not ABDL, use some products normally sold to that "specialty" market when there is not a corresponding product in the mainstream diaper market. I should note that several of the super absorbent "specialty" brands have at least one version available in plain white plastic.
To me, "super absorbent" is any diaper that functionally holds more than my favorite ConfiDry 24/7s. One such diaper I have used is the Bambino Bellissimo which has a rated ISO capacity of 5,385 ml. Unfortunately, that diaper has prints and is not available in plain white plastic. If it were, I would get that diaper in plain white plastic. This diaper is expensive and I use it only infrequently - when I need more absorbency than a Dry 24/7 and will be in a situation where it would be very inconvenient or socially embarrassing to have to change. I usually use it with an added booster pad to achieve an even longer period of reliable absorbency. I say "reliable" because I don't want to have to worry about it. This "specialty" diaper, with a booster, lasts for me about the same time that I would get if I double diapered, but at less cost than double diapering. The prints are not my choice, but no one is going to be looking at my diaper, with the possible exception of my wife.
