Thanks mate. I have made good progress today with the physio and managed the steps with crutches so there is a very good chance the surgery will not happen now and I will go home tommorow and come back for follow up appointment in about 8 weeks. Thanks again and will post when I am sure. 4wheeldave.

Have seen the consultant and he says to go home later today and re gain health and strength. Come to see him in about 8 weeks and talk about surgery. The whole area in his words is vert unstable. Thanks again for this place where I can post stuff in the middle of the night when awake on the ward knowing that a lot of you guys over the pond are awake and reading and thinking about me it's a real comfort. Thanks again 4wheeldave. Ps the ID supers PE did a good job.

Dave,
That's great news, I know going home will help you regain your strength. Please keep us posted on your recovery and I hope and pray that you can dodge the need for surgery.

All going well back at home. Have done a lot of sleeping to catch up. Have had one or two minor side effects from the steroids I was on but ok. So glad I was able to get to a level to come home and avoid the surgery if only for now. Catheter working fine no sign of any infection. Not doing any bi passing at the moment so am not in diapers. Take care everyone. 4wheeldave.
