Today has been a really bad day for me... My lower back went out. I did some driving this morning had to pickup supplies/donations for a few clients and then drop them off. i am now paying for being so generous with my time again. I am in so much pain i have been relaying on my wife to assist me with my changing needs... which sucks.... I ended emailing my Dr. asking for new referal to my back Dr. saying might need a new MRI since its been a few years.... I am not ready for a lower back fusion |

I have had a twinge in the tail bone for like 2 weeks LOL and ignored it and the back goes out i really should know better. I jinxed my self by organizing all my medical records and getting prepped for the VA apts coming next month. |

On June 5th I had a Tumarkin's episode in my garden. I fell on my pelvis/back and lay there for perhaps 30 minutes, trying to discover whether I had broken any bones (I hadn't) and whether it was safe for me to try to stand up. I spent the next seven days in pain, which has slowly diminished. Needless to say, when I finally got up, I really needed to wash and change. Back injuries can be the pits. This happens to me perhaps 1-3 times each year, and it never gets easier. There must be a long list of reasons folks become incontinent; back injuries must rank high on that list, and it is one ugly list. Thank heaven for protection. |

i have been suffering from Incontinence for 13 or so years from my first back surgery... the Dr. said I shouldn't that issues LOL but since it took my insurance 6 month to approve my surgery and 1 year of the Dr's screwing around with injections and physical therapy. My wife has scene me at my absolute worst i got actually got yelled at for being so dam stubborn and not asking her to help me with changing since i do standing diaper changes and can barely bend to change LOL her comment was the my stubbornness with be the death of her. My main concern is if i need surgery they might actually do what they threatened to do a 5 disk fusion saying my next surgery was going to install rods and a cadaver disk... kind of sounded exciting lol |

specialdad, That reads like one excruciating procedure. You must be in terrible pain; my heart goes out to you. I hope your surgeons come up with something less invasive and more successful in alleviating your pain. Good luck and keep us informed. |
