So was in the mens room stall changing, and thought I was alone however i heard rustling noise that wasn't coming from me. To my surprise it was someone else changing a few stalls down. You might ask how I would I know that, well after wearing 24/7 for quite some time you know the sound of plastic pretty well. Well now Im wonderimg what is the norm of someone going up to someone to begin a conversation about their IC. Because Im still at a postion with my incontinence and having to wear a diaper and feeling alone, not as much now after joinning this group, but would like to know how others cope with theirs.

Ask yourself this, how would YOU want it handled in reverse maybe?

Bob,

The reaction is difficult to predict. It is very possible that the other person will be totally surprised and feel humiliated at not only being overheard but having someone else realize that he was changing his diaper. Under those circumstances, he may have no wish to interact with another incontinent person.

Agreed. The majority of incontinent people are going to be very self conscious about being incontinent, and are very embarrassed to need diapers Even though they shouldn't be, most will likely not want to talk about it.

I would say offer him a spare diaper if needed or get a big "I'm incontinent too" sign. Or you could just say hello. Lol

I would not have said anything, under any circumstances, unless he spoke of it first... Even then, not something I would talk to a stranger about, let alone people close to me! Puffy

... does this board not constitute talking to strangers about it?

Anyway, people here seem like they would be upset if someone approached them (I wouldn't use the word 'confront'), but I don't think it would be a big deal. I think that if someone found out a was a bedwetter, save discretely let me know they were too, the whole thing would feel a bit less lonely.

i know if someone came up to me in the bathroom after changing i would be both creeped out and embarassed.
it would be nice to know another person who wears, but i already feel vulnerable when im changing as it is.
