Mike,
I'm very sorry to hear about your situation and about the fact that the medications that you've tried so far have produced nasty side effects and haven't helped your bedwetting in the way you had hoped.
I've had urge incontinence for many years and have been wearing a diaper 24/7/365 for about 30 years now. I agree with the statements of others that wearing a diaper is something you can get used to and deal with if that becomes necessary. For me, coming to view diapers as part of the solution instead of part of the problem was important. Diapers enable me to keep my pants dry on the outside and lead an almost completely normal personal and professional life.
However, it's important to remember one other thing. The medications that are prescribed for overactive bladder and urge incontinence do in fact help many people. But you won't find the people who were helped participating in an incontinence forum. Those of us who are here are almost invariably the people for whom the drugs and other treatments have not worked. So don't let our negative experiences discourage you unduly.
