Don - I wore crinklez before I knew of better dry. No one saw it so who cares. As far as surgery goes wear the rearz. If it will be the best protection your surgeon will be grateful you took the precaution. Skull and crossbones design sound kinda cool though. I'd wear em.

Thanks Justej. I think I’m going to. I’ll use a booster inside it. Hope I don’t have to walk anywhere. That would be interesting. When I looked up the reviews online, people were saying not to expect to be stealthy in this diaper. One user said he would be surprised if you could. So we’ll see. Also, it’s a navy hospital. Also, as John said, I may try the ABuniverse diaper. It claims to hold 5000mL. The white/simples were out of stock so I don’t know which other kind to try. I’m not into the AB scene but I’m desperate for anything that’ll work. Also, for those of you who wear “special styles” of diapers, like crinklz, do you wear them to doctors appointments? If so, how do they react?

I wore a crinklez to the er once. I was so sick I didn't care. I was changed by a nurse because I couldn't walk and was too sick to change myself. I was super embarrassed but really only because I was being changed by another guy. He was SUPER professional and didn't say a word. I have half a pack of those left and only wear them when I'm out of my others. I gotta say I am kinda intrigued by the skull and crossbones diapers. I don't see that as a "baby" or kids print. And I do think I would seriously wear them. Where did you get them?

Rearz.ca. They’re Canadian. Shipping is really expensive. They’re close to $3 per diaper. Their customer service is great but it’s a lot of money. Definitely not an everyday diaper. XP medical has the all white version. But they’re still a lot of money. I don’t know if I can justify it. I’m looking into abu simple as mentioned earlier. They offer me a military discount and are more reasonable. Plus they’re from the states. They said the diapers hold about a gallon of fluid. I hope I don’t saturate something like that. That’d be even more depressing.

i know its very hard to ask for help i have spina biffida and several other issues in my back am in w/c full time plus diapers 24/7 and have to have aides in my home 23 of 24 hrs of the day i have broke down and cried many times when i have new aides or nurses doing my changes i dont think i will ever get over that

I’m sorry to hear that. I don’t use a w/c but I do have a cane. I’ve got a disability placard for my vehicles. I look able bodied but there is a war going on in my body. My nerve condition effects my whole body. I have a lot of pain in my legs and tire easily. It’s rough. I can sympathize. I try to stay active. I usually end up in the doctors office every couple weeks. Last year, I capped out my insurance. I spent $30k at Mayo Clinic. Lots of medical professionals have seen me in diapers. I try not to sweat it. Like Justej, most don’t comment.

I'm getting interviewed for a home health aid tomorrow at 4. I'm pretty nervous. My apartment is a wreck but it's a good indication of how my disability affects my quality of life. I'm a fall risk so the aid will be helping me change. With my dexterity issues I have trouble putting a diaper on laying down and standing up I could fall over. My last aid changed me and I just had to suck it up and let her do her job. They see it all the time. I do get the depression though. This stuff really effects our self esteem

dont sweat it justej let them see what you need seeing the house in a wreck will help them see where you need help you will be just fine not sure where you are at state wise i am in the mid west i really like my aides i have here they are great

gonna toss another vote for the Betterdry. I use that at night with a Northshore large Booster.
maybe once a month I outproduce the capacity of that combo.but normally no issues.
that would be overkill for me during the day but it took me a long time to settle down
with the Northshore air Supreme for day and the above combo for night.
a couple of great performing briefs out there have a tape landing zone which for some reason
annoys the hell out of me at the sides of my hips. performance was fine but I could
not take the irritation.
