.............Ignore the inconvenient truth that I wouldn't need the diapers were it not for the same said war!!

Porkchop, I really don't think that is any way to get what you need to deal with your issues paid for. Sorry for your injuries, but thank you for your service and sacrifice, being looked after when you get home and have to deal with the resulting injuries and aftermath is the LEAST the gov't can do. Sadly, I see all too often they are failing at looking after Vets that were there when we needed them. & yes, I did chuckle at the way you stated your reply, some may not, but I get it, totally, Puffy

Best bet is to buy in bulk and look into XP Medical. They offer 5% of it you set up a pre-order scheduled.

@Texan, you're welcome. As for the VA, I was able to make it happen because of the advice given to me here by other veterans! This win is for the ISC!

Do you guys do anything with FSA or Taxes to reduce cost as well?

I utilize the FSA with my insurance. It does help with net income and the FSA is accepted by most online sellers such as XP Medical and others. Incontinence products are a covered item for FSA and HSA.

My wife carefully keeps track of every cent we spend on incontinence so that we can take it as an income tax deduction. Of course, you must keep receipts to prove the expense. The annual cost of my double incontinence is about $7,000. That sum does not include doctor's expenses and medications that are covered by insurance.

Remember the costs in addition to diapers. For example, for me there are disposable diapers, cloth diapers, diaper pins, plastic pants, onesies, rash cream, coconut oil, adult wipes, absorbent pads, intermittent catheters, Miralax, enema equipment, enema soap, etc. It adds up rather shockingly. When my wife showed me the first time I was quite surprised. BTW, we had a tax accountant go over this to be sure that it was legal.

I wish I could help I go through the VA as well. But one thing I did before that was often checked craigslist. For me I have the high quality diapers they buy with boosters but when I have loose stools I often have another brand at the house so I can change more often. I got a deal on Molicares from that site most of the time there cheap ones but every now and then I can find better quality ones. I take by asking about FSA you have insurance if not a lot of state Medicaid programs provide diapers my state provides Tranquility others are different on what they buy. Also not sure on there prices but know XP has come out with their own brand which I have herd some good things about them. One other thing and may just be me but be careful with the higher absorbent ones depending on your IC if you have both types and no sensation staying in wet and or soiled diapers can lead to skin issues there are times I do switch to the lesser ones at home to give my skin a break but having no feeling its a dangerous game because my memory is really bad and forget to change all the time and even worse after drinking.
