Stupid question - barrier creams

Mon May 07, 2018 6:48 pm

So I have the beginnings of what I think is a rash on my crotch and crease of my right leg. I have some rash cream and barrier. How do I apply it so it doesn't break down the diaper? Especially on the leg. I know this is a stupid question but I've always just had irritations and not a rash. This question goes for daily use of barrier creams too. Do I use it after every change? Thanks.

Hi Justej,
Dont worry about the diaper if you use diaper cream just change more often when using the cream, Airing out for an hour or two a day will help, pickup some large disposable bed pads and put one on your chair or bed while airing out I use the Tena large insta dry pads and the work great.

I aired out yesterday for about 45 minutes and that seemed to really help. I'll be doing that more often. It also seems to be the heat and my pul pants. If I wear a diaper alone it doesn't seem to be bad. So today I'm just going to wear a diaper and some boxer briefs and see how that goes. A little nervous about not wearing pul pants but the diapers I wear are pretty trusty. I'll just wear a long shirt.

Also I have a TON of disposable pads to sit on so I've got that covered.
