Hi All

It has been a few stressful weeks/months. I hope I haven't breached any rules ADMIN. Please advise if I have, and I will amend

1. MADE 100% MEDICALLY URINARY INCONTINENT REVERSIBLE UNDER UROLOGICAL CARE

It has been heating up here in Australia. Coming into summer, I need to wear shorts.
Well, the leg bag started to keep slipping even in a leg bag cover, especially in public places. I have had some elderly women jokingly say they could see my underwear Leg bag. :'( I was too scared to go out in public. Three weeks ago, I worked up the nerve to ring my Urologist department to speak to my Urology nurse specialist, who worked under my Urologist Professor and asked if I could keep the valve open into my thick Bambino Diapers (as I am medically allergic to cloth-backed continence aids (which I have urology evidence of) and retail, medical grade (Abean, tena, molicare, etc. I am allergic to all of them as they are all clothed back) she asked why can't I do I closed Valve system which I can't do as my bladder will still leak around or push urine through (spasms) as well as my bladder won't tolerate it for an extended period (it gets uncomfortable showering or swimming as it is when closed). So, she gave me the medical go-ahead even after I specifically asked three or more times about UTIS. Her response was due to the length of the Foley catheter and the flip valve, I wouldn't have an issue, but any issue would come straight to their office. They would see me immediately (I am seeing her for a foley change on Monday and will ask for a UTI check as well as what strips to use as my Psychologist is concerned), but no issues, no rashes, no skin heat, no nothing. (DO NOT DO THIS WITHOUT MEDICAL SUPERVISION)

I am also having issues with the person Registered Nurse doing the continence needs assessment for government disability funding as she wants me to use cheaper cloth even though I had advised her I am allergic to them hopefully, the Urology Documentation I sent to my Government funding contact (who was happy with the supporting documentation) I am not sure yet if the Registered Nurse is if not I will have to find someone else.

2. Finding Protection

The second part is finding the proper protection.

Australia has a limited range and even more limited suppliers of plastic-backed Diapers.

Thankfully, with trial and error, I am wearing Plastic pants and a snap onesie so outer clothes don't get wet as I can't feel when I leak or anything (my bladder issues are retention due to spinal cord injury, hence the Foley).

I have been wearing the large Bambino Magnifico / Ultra stretch with an Incontrol Booster pad during the day (the combination takes around 4 or 5 hours). At night, I wear Bambino Bloomeez and two boosters without leaks. Unfortunately, the only Bambino Distributor will no longer do Bambinos, and Bambino won't ship here, so I need to find new protection.

I like how the Bambinos distribute wetness and don't clump up or leave my skin clammy (Bambinos are the only plastic-backed I have tried other than Molicare, which stopped plastic backed and was crap and left my skin clammy as well as clamped up and outer plastic broke).

My needs and options are (incl ABDL ones as even less range of white plastic backed)

I need four tapes for ease and reliability.

Day 5000ml+ as well as wetness indicator (so I know when to change as new to having 0 control)
Night 7000ml+ as I have nocturnal as well as severe sleep apnea and on the machine, and I output a lot

Options are

Rearz (which might be declined by the government as Rearz may not provide the required documentation on the form). We are still waiting to hear back from Rearz Australia as they need to hear back from their US counterparts. Recommendations from their sales rep
Here are a list of all our diapers with 4 tapes, plastic backing and over 5000ml capacity:
Littlepawz

Here is a list of all our diapers with 4 tapes, plastic backing and over 6000ml capacity:
Dinorawrz
Bunnyhopps
Peekabu
TinyTails
Simple ultra
Incontrol BeDry

Tykables

Crinklz (which I have seen people on ADISC have issues with)

Trest

Northshore MegaMax (which Northshore Adam says might not fit my capacity needs esp at night)

Many thanks, and sorry for the long post I hope it doesn't come across as AB/DL as never see the interest in the lifestyle but is a useful source of information as no Information support for continence or other disabilities in Australia as all shut down,
