After many failed attempts to log in to ISC, I was quite pleased this morning to find that ISC is back in action. As of yet I do not know what caused our hiatus. While ISC was down, I found that I did not have the email addresses needed to contact Schoppy or others to find out what was happening.

While not being able to connect to ISC, I realized that I missed the exchanges and the mutual support we have here on ISC. Welcome back, everyone.

I noticed that also. I am glad that the site has been restored. My thanks to those involved!

Add my thanks to Schoppy and whoever else assisted. This is a valuable community; I'm glad to have it back.

Great to have ISC back online, and a big Thanks! to the administration for all you do to keep this important site going.

It said it was a case of bandwidth exceeded; as this has never happened before, could the reason have been a denial of service attack?

Actually it has happened before. It can be due to the number of 'hits' on the web site during the month exceeding the total the owner of the site and provider have contracted (i.e. paid) for. That's why, I think, it was back up on the 1st. Could have been a DOS attract, but not necessarily. I believe Scoppy runs this site as a service for us on his own "nickel". I truly appreciate his service and generosity in supporting our community!!
