Since some time ago, in addition to my IC also increased sugar levels were found.I'm lightly overweightand decided to improve this by a further change in diet. This has also worked relatively well. The sugar levels have dropped back to normal. Besides this, it also had a positive effect on my continence and the accidents became less.

Anyway, it is wintertime and probably the human being is programmed to eat more in winter. In the last month I noticed that my incontinence has gotten worse again. I got on the scale and it showed a weight gain of 1.5 kilos... I wonder if this could be the reason for the worsening of my incontinence. I mean, 1.5 kilos is not really a lot but did any of you find a similar connection?

The combination of gravity plus upright posture must put extra stress on our backs and internal organs. The pelvic floor must handle much of this stress, which in turn makes incontinence a risk for everybody. Working to minimize this stress on our bladders and rectums would seem to be logical. Good luck managing any weight gain the season brings to you.

A significant part of my IC issues are linked to my obesity issues. However, I’m not talking about a few kg... Maybe you should ask your doctor about this. Give us an update.
