Has anyone else had problems with the new trend for adult briefs with thin sides which aren't integral but attached? I got a case of Abena L2 yesterday (foolishly, I should have ordered one pack, but I didn’t realise they'd changed and they don't advertise the fact) and found that they'd had this redesign and the sides didn't wrap around me properly, leaving parts of my butt uncovered.

I used to use Lille Supreme Fit and they worked fine for me until they got redesigned; after that they didn't fit properly. As I understand it, ID have also gone to this design as well. I've been using Tena Active Fit for ages which fit fine but they're a bit hot in the summer.

Does anyone know a decent brand that hasn't been messed around with?

You have not told us what you were wearing.

I am having no trouble at all, with several different brands of premium diapers. I am using Northshore MegaMax, ConfiDry 24/7, DryLife, Rearz Inspire +InControl, and Rearz Elite Hybrid.

Perhaps you need to order a larger size.

Are you talking about the style like a Tena Stretch pictured below? I agree with you that the fit in the rear is a bit strange in that it isn't 100% full coverage but at least in my case it is adequate and I haven't had any leakage issues. I agree with JD that you may need to get the next size up to get the coverage you are looking for.
BTW...I like to wear this style diaper in the hot and humid summers here in Florida, I find them much cooler than others with the fully enclosed sides. In the cooler months I often wear Abena L4's and ComfiDry 24/7 and haven't noticed a difference in the cut or shape.
