Hey all. I took a break from the forum for awhile. Personal reasons. I’ve been mainly posting on another message board but thought I’d pop in and say hi. Things are going well. I am not walking on my prosthetic yet but I’ve become a master at diapering one legged/on a wheelchair. I’ve got a good system down after struggling for awhile. I’m using Northshore supremes and garywear pul pants. Sometimes I’ll use a bodysuit. I was having a lot of issues with leaks and was extremely frustrated. I finally discovered I needed a pul pant one size up. Haven’t had a leak since (until i wore a go supreme to bed the other night. Pro tip: they aren’t good for nighttime use).

Thanks! It’s a great feeling to find a routine and solution that works. I’ve found a medical supply place in Maryland that will bill Medicaid for premium diapers. Medicaid pays .88 cents per diaper and I pay the rest. It is still costly being on disability but I have cut some things out of my life to accommodate. Granted it’s the beginning of the month and I’m broke but all of my bills are paid and I have enough diapers to make it through. It’s a delicate balance.
