Or using all-in-one pads during the day for security as when the urge hits I need to go straight away.. I think since using pads my IC has gotten worse... I feel the urge to pee all the time. I was wondering if wearing pads will worsen my IC issues....?

I guess there may be a psychological element to this; however, a qualified professional would have to explain it. For me, being adequately protected allows me to note that the leakage is happening, but it doesn't need to interfere with whatever I'm doing at the time, so that I can wash and change later and my activity is not disrupted.

Probably....one of the first lines of treatment for urge ic is behavioral modifications like time vpiding and double voiding. By just using diapers toure kind of just reinforcing the incontinece. This is why most doctors are against the use of diapers. For me, after giving an honest shot at everything they suggested i still felt like i coulnd leave the house without a diaper or id have a humiliating public accident. Going with 24/7 diaper wearing i guess i kind of gave up on a cure or at least kind of accepted it for what it was. It lifted a LOT of stress and made my life more liveable. I dont really ever try to rush to a bathroom anymore and havent for a few years. Im sure that hasnt "helped" my incontinence any, but ive given up on meds anyway so it's kind of moot. I just wear diapers and get on with life.

Wearing a diaper permits me to go wherever I want to go and do whatever I need or want to do. Without a diaper, my unpredictable bladder requires me to use that bathroom at least one an hour; and even then, I may still have accidents.

Yep, same here! Not to mention I now get a great nights sleep every night.
