I had a diaper leak in my car yesterday. Went a bit too long and paid the price. So this has me one again interested in lined diaper covers. While making a search I came across AT Surgical. I have never heard of them. AT Surgical lists a pant with a vinyl shell with cotton on the interior. The picture (1) does not really give much information. There is one picture and enlarge makes it slightly bigger. Has anyone had any experience with this company or it's products?

I may buy some and be the test subject. After Sundays leak I have to do something. (I know, I know. I should just change more often. But I wasn't paying attention and *squish*).

sorry to hear you had a leak in the car due to an over saturation, I think its safe to say we have all had a similar leak issue due to not changing early enough it’s easy to get busy and forget about how saturated our protection is getting.

the lined plastic pants look like they may be a good idea please let us know how well they work and fit

Leaks happen and diaper covers are highly advisable, but I would avoid getting the all-in-one type of lined covers, one big reason is the waterproof portion and the absorbent layer will last longer if washed separately, secondly, if the absorbent core gets wet while you are out and you change you need to change the whole set if you don't have a spare set than you are going without the added protection But if you get separate absorbent layer and waterproof layer and you are out you can remove the wet absorbent layer and the waterproof section can be wiped dry and continue to offer some protection. personally I use a single layer flannel brief from Babykins.com and a GaryWear Active PUL brief and I have used this setup for YEARS both the absorbent flannel and Pul pants wash separately the absorbent flannel can be machine dried as well! and last me YEARS but the attached lined pants never lasted that long

Understood all. At night I have and do use the 3 layer system (diaper, cloth cover, waterproof pants) to prevent leaks and normally during the day I am more attentive . I realize that separate pants and over pants will easier to clean.
But I have ordered the pants anyway, sight unseen. They are made by AT Surgical in the USA, so that is a plus.
An experiment on my part. We will see.

I'm also looking for extra cover, since I have a long flight (11 hours) scheduled next month and have no experience in changing diapers on an airplane. I usually wear skirts and thights, they conceal the bulge but are not very convenient in smaller stalls when changing (really, that turns into a sort of a slapstick-situation, standing in a ballet position witch the tights around my ankles and holding the skirt up under my chin...soooo charming).
So I think I'll wear a thicker diaper than usual and use a cover just to be sure (and try to change anyways). I was thinking about buying this one from a french brand: https://www.sanygia.com/en/culottes-sli ... nfort.html they seem perfect for use over the waistbelted diapers. I don't mind if I have to change both the diaper and the cover, I have a waterproof pouch to put the damp cover in if necessary

For your convenience, don't wear the tights. That sounds like one layer you don't need on a plane.

there's are vinyl and rubber bloomers, too. MEGA coverage.

What about just adding a small Northshore booster pad to the pul pants? It will absorb quite a bit of excess liquid and can be easily removed and disposed of when needed leaving the pul pant virtually dry. I’ve never tried it but seems like it might work.

I always wear tights, used to do so before I was incontinent, it's part of my style. If I'm bare-legged I feel naked!

I live in Texas where right now highs are in the upper 90’s and lows in the lower 70’s and VERY HUMID.... There’s been very little precipitation for weeks and this hot weather has been around for months (sadly normal). We pray for weather fronts and tropical storms!
Point is that tights during this weather would be “very uncomfortable” but handy to control diaper position and noise. If you are able to wear tights where you live year round, would you like a house guest for say four weeks?
