More ankle woes

So you all have been with me through this ankle bs for the last 4 years and I got more bad news today. I saw my orthopedic surgeon and 3 things happened.

1) I have an infection in my right (good) ankle. I'm now on double the dose of bactrim twice a day.

2) one of the screws in my right/previously broken in 4 places/fused ankle has moved. Not sure what will be done about that.

3) my ankle isn't healing/fusing properly.

On Monday I have a ct scan and will follow up with my surgeon later in the week. If it keeps heading in this direction I'll never be able to walk again without at least some type of assistive device.

In addition to the pain and uncertainty, your ankle difficulty must hinder incontinence management. If the Bactrim stops working, I hope your surgeon will look for an antibiotic that does work for you. All the best, and keep us informed.
