I haven't cathed since Sunday. Each day I did it there was more blood. I got tranquility atns approved by my Medicaid and found a supplier who would get them for me. They will be delivered in the next couple of days. For now, I am done cathing. Maybe I'll try it again in the future but I'm not rushing it.

well you did give it a try. I cannot tell you the number of meds I tried and ended up saying no due to side effects or it just didn't help.

justj,

Don't be too hasty.

If you are still finding blood after cathing, check the eyelets on your catheter. When I had blood after self-cathing I found that my inexpensive (cheap) catheters (samples provided by my urologist's nurse) had large and sharp-edged eyelets. That had caused internal abrasions. After I changed to better catheters the problem immediately went away.

Good luck.

I just got a call back from my urologist. They are giving me something for bladder pain. If it doesn't improve in a few days I'll go in to give a urine sample. She didnt think it was a uti but was glad I called.
