Hi All

Just wondering how does one get a snug fit with the pull up type as the molicare mobile keep slipping and moving during the day even with mesh pants over the top I have found this with all the pull up type but found molicare to be the best. I just tried the ID pants super as my continence nurse gave me a few to try but they feel really thin and dont feel confident in them and they move around worse

I am considering the diaper type (with tape) but really nervous and I see my continence nurse in about 3 weeks.

Try wearing some compression shorts, or tight fitting (compression style) swimsuit. I normally wear plastic pants over my diaper but lately, I've been wearing a nylon swim shorts over the diaper which works just as well in many ways. Square cut nylon swim shorts are very inexpensive if you buy them on eBay, and in my opinion, they work just as well as athletic compression shorts at a fraction of the price. In the past, I've spent the money and bought the Abena pants (looks like a brief), but I think you will find that tight fitting shorts of any type works just as well.

You may be using the wrong size. I'll occasionally use abena pull ups and haven't had problems with them slipping. Have you tried using one size smaller? I could be wrong this is just my guess.

Ah ok. I also use garywear active briefs. I use them with diapers and not pull ups but they should work just as well. They are pretty comfortable and may work better than the tena pants.

I'll second trying a light compression type pant for support. For a less expensive alternative you could try a pair of control top pantyhose with the legs cut short. In either case you don't want the pant so tight that it crushes your pull-up/diaper which can reduce it's effectiveness and cause leaks.

You can also try suspenders.

Its hard to find a pullup that fits properly, You could try a pair underware over top but you will find Taped diapers will fit better and are easier to change while out and about and premium taped diapers will leak less often then pull ups

Wearing taped diapers for the first time can make you self conscious but after a short time you will find they work better then your current diaper selection and are not really noticeable in day to day life and you will stop worrying about what if some one sees them.

You could also think about ordering some onesies from onesiesdownunder.com, who are in Australia, and ship discreetly. Not expensive, and will support either a pullup or taped nappy.

I also second the comment for getting some Gary Activewear pants. They're waterproof PUL, but don't look like plastic pants. You can also get these from online stores in Australia, with the Down-Undercare mob in Brisbane also able to ship discreetly.

Finally have you tried the Abena pullups? I don't like pullups - they're a furphy, easy to put on and pull down to go to the toilet, but don't hold a lot, and if you need to change, they require you to get undressed. It is possible to shimmy down a nappy to go toilet, and pull it back up, but you will likely need to use a pair of PUL pants or plastic pants, coz the chance of leak goes up.
