Hello my friends, I am about to start fundraising for founding costs for CARING(changed the name, too easily confused with care.com, the babysitting website, and G is for global). You don't have to ask people for a dime, just for their new used and gently worn shoes. These shoes go to 3rd world countries and in turn we get the funding we need. 100 bags of shoes with 25 pairs each will raise 1,000 dollars. You don't pay for anything, they send you the kit for free, and they pick up the shoes for free. ww.funds2orgs.com is the website. I've contacted my local Family Video to ask whether they would be willing to collect shoes and offer gift cards as an incentive, the result has been positive.
