So as we all know (or not) I broke my leg in 4 places on January 3rd of 2015. This is when my incontinence started. We don't know why. I have seen 2 urologists. One was super awesome but she changed practices and they don't take my insurance. My second doctor did no tests, said I had overactive bladder and kept throwing pills at me. After the third one I stopped going and am taking a break from urologists right now. Anyhow. I've had 3 surgeries on my right ankle and 2 on my left. I developed problems in my left leg after breaking my right. I've lived with chronic pain since my last right ankle surgery on January 18th. I saw a pain management doctor and tomorrow I will be put under and have a needle put in my spine and from what I understand willl have something injected to help with pain. I'm nervous but I think I'll be ok. I'll be wearing my usual abenas and pul pants. I can't wait for it to be over

justej,

My heart and prayers go with you. You endured some serious injuries, in addition to your incontinence. Report back when you can.

Hey everyone thanks for the well wishes.
I had the procedure on Monday. They particularly sedated me and I was awake during the procedure. It creeped me out a bit. I find that I've had an increase in how often I pee. But that's it. They want me to do another procedure because unfortunately this one didn't work.
I'm super frustrated. I just want a day without pain

I heard of a similar episode many years ago. A man fell to the floor after his friends pulled away his barstool for fun.
He overstreched the nerve to the bladder. This led to only partial function of this nerve. I keep thinking something like that happened to you...

Optimist - wow that's crazy. My broken leg was due to me falling on an escalator. But this certainly could be what happened to me. Is there some test for things like this? Thanks!
