Two wet hotel beds.

I'm in the midst of a trip to Florida with my wife and son. Reserved a hotel in Orlando for 3 nights. In the special requests section, I asked for waterproof mattress protection for both beds. Upon checking in, late last night, I checked the beds. Standard mattress pads on both beds, not waterproof.
I figure it's not that big a deal; I have diapers, my son rarely wets the bed.
This morning, both beds are wet. I leaked badly, my son peed everywhere.
Great start for the day.
End vent.

Ug.. So sorry to hear. I wet the bed I was almost 15 and the horrors of having to spend the night away from home still haunt me. At least you forewarned them.

Sorry you had a rough morning. I can relate - I did that twice a bunch of years ago.
btw, did you know that the word travel comes from the word travail?

Ouch, sorry to hear about that. hopefully tonight they will honor your request.
@wetters- learned something new today. I had to look up the meaning of the word you used. Makes sense.

Here's hoping that the second night is better than the first!

That stinks

, but you did request the waterproofing so it's not like the hotel staff can get too upset. Still, never the kind of thing you want to deal with... Good strength to you

There's more. Both the words "travel" and "travail" stem from the word "tripalium, which is a Roman instrument of torture! So, is the word "trip" a shortened version of tripalium, and, can a trip be construed as being an instrument of torture, lol?

Sorry to here thing have started off a little rough. I always take bed pads when I travel, just in case. We always eat and drink a little more, plus being in a different setting doesn't help. Here's to better luck.
