Total Disaster!

Anyone who is incontinent knows that life has its little problems. Today I had more than a little problem – I experienced an absolute disaster. This probably will be something new for this group.
Most of you guys know that I use preventive enemas to control my bowel incontinence, choosing one unpleasant experience in order to avoid another. It usually works pretty well.
This morning I was going through my normal enema routine without incident – boring is good in such matters. I was on the floor on my side and finishing up, having held a 2-quart soapy enema solution for 10 minutes. As I was starting to get up I had a powerful and very painful charley horse cramp in my right leg.
Hopping on my left leg and trying to straighten my cramped leg to keep the cramp from getting worse, I found that I just could not control everything and the nozzle popped out! I have nerve damage to the muscles in my anal sphincter and the nozzle has an oversized tip, intended to function as a plug to help hold everything in until I can make it to the toilet. Well, the obvious occurred. I wound up with an extremely messy and unpleasant cleanup. Great way to start the day!!
Admittedly, this might have been funny - if it had happened to someone else. I am sure that I must have looked ridiculous at the time.
I experience leg cramps but did not expect this as my physician had taken me off of statins and prescribed magnesium oxide tablets to reduce cramps.
Looking for a brighter day tomorrow,
