OT, But I'm Ecstatic!

Conventional thought dictates that after 2 years and almost 8 months post-stroke that I'm past my window of improvement as to fine motor skills, however, in the last couple of days, I've made a significant leap forward with my keyboarding skills. I'm still nowhere close to the typist that I was pre-stroke, but I'll take it!! Now, if only I can get the smilies to work....

Hey!!!

Hi, Wetters. Just wanted to pop in here to say congratulations on your improvement. I know your incontinence has improved significantly, which is great, but that your typing has also improved is huge. Well, it would be for me. Honestly, if I had to choose between total bladder control and great typing skills, I'd take the typing. Ha!
Congratulations on your continuing success!!!!

Hi, RMS!! Thanks very much for wishing me well as to my continued improvement.
I must agree. Although incontinence certainly comes with more than its fair share of challenges, at least it's manageable most of the time with strategy and planning....

Good to hear success and improvement stories Wetters! Small steps, but in the right direction! I have had a few in the last few months too, but still can't trust the plumbing away from the bathroom, or knowing where the next one is, but still manageable like you said.

Thanks, Puffy! Congratulations on your victories as well. Yeah, I hear you. Although I've transitioned from pull-ups to cotton granny panties for bedtime, I can't yet bring myself to ditch the bed pad.
