Catheters are the worst! OK second worst - right below dilation and cystoscopy....
Even worse- waking up with a catheter and dealing with the wood... or erections.... owwww painful memories. Several times my cath or bag sprung a leak and it was 10x worse to cleanup or deal with
Really you don't save any dignity using catheters instead of diapers.
At least I can still get an erection when I see a hot girl

and I don't have to worry even half as much about leaks or have my dick hurt if I sneeze or cough. And he'll I can actually exercise some in diapers compared to when I had to use a catheter.
The advertisements showing how you can exercise freely using such catheters (internal or external like the "liberty" cath) are clearly bs
Regardless the so called "environment cost", the relative cost in comfort, pain and dignity for me is a far more scarce resource that I am not going to part with so easily for such a flimsy "solution"
Yeah, Kldstar, thats one of my concerns.. if i happen to get an erectio and point up while its attached,, wouldnt the bag and tube pull on my penis... ow.. and yeah, i have had that raw feeling on my penis and i know i dont like it...Still..i am toying with the idea of trying it just to say I did.. maybe ill be this board's guinea pig.... but it will have to wait until i can get some income to buy the 15 dollar apparatus.. yes you read that right.. 15 dollars a pice.. a box of 35 costs over 200.. thankfully its covered by some insurances...
Peace out!

Well I'm glad somebody else said this than me. I hate feeling like I'm the only "pioneer" in this experience called incontinence.
Not only all of this, but I also found I was much more likely to get a "pop off" with even just the normal daily "size changes" (not necessarily erections per say). Even when it didn't pop off though, it always felt... itchy/uncomfortable (it's hard to describe)? And, after a couple of weeks of using a condom cath it felt like I had developed a persistent rash.
I'd easily take folley catheters any day of the week (if anything just for no leaks). Of course I hate using even them long term, so give me diapers first. They are much more reliable, and comfortable, by far.
