I get distracted easily and forget to do things.. hence the reason why biofeedback ultimately fell on its face when it came to being a long lasting treatmetn option; it's not that I didn't want to do the excercises and stay dry, its i just get so distracted with different aspects of life , i forget to do it. Yes, I'm sure someone will say to me, do it at a certian time and you wont forget. That's not exactly the case; I have a routine for putting my keys by the door and my wallet, so I know where they are when i go to a sub job in the morning. Yesterday, both my keys and my wallet were by the door, and somehow i remembered my keys, but not my wallet!! My, was that ever embarrassing!! I hate being easily distractable, and disorganized just like i hate being incontinent, but hatred wont make my disabilites go away.. I just have to learn to deal with it, and adapt as best I can. Hang in there Mike, you'll be fine.

Peace out!

Yes, but to make it worse I can remember life before the head injury where this wasn't an issue!! It was like waking up one day with ADD and not knowing what to do. It might have been kinder for the injury to have hurt me worse so I couldn't remember life before it.... Because knowing it didn't use to be this way makes it worse.

In one way you wouldn't have base line to look back at, but you wouldn't know your family. I know by your comment you love your family. Your day to day struggles are real and you are doing great. You have to support of your family and your friends here. God Bless

Mike,

I'm sorry that remembering the good ole days makes it worse... I guess i've always lived with having time manangement issues.. I suppose I can relate with remembering the good ole days to a certian extent, and that is with the other thing we have in common, namely the incontinence. There was a time for 4 years where I didn't have incon issues to speak of, because I was treated and became dry in early 2010. Before that, before 2008, i was was dealing with it for years, in denial, not wearing protection. I suppose you could also call those the good ole days where I wore regular underewar..but I'm not sure how good it was, since it meant putting up with wet underwear on regular basis, which i refuse to do any more. If my bladder leaks at all, I wear diapers. Period, end of story.

Hang in there my friend... we are all here for you! And THANK YOU for choosing to serve our country and putting yourself in harm's way.

Peace out!

Rob

Sigh, I know.... I was just in a bad place that day and should've probably avoided the internet all together. Sorry for my rant.

Rob, very true. All of us, well most of us here, had a period where incontinence wasn't an issue so can relate to my rant. Good point.
