Abena Abriflex Special

Tue Apr 19, 2011 12:08 am

Hello,

I am thinking about trying some of these. Pull-ups generally don't work very well for me because of leg leaks, but these look like they might actually work because of the snug fit and the 1700ml capacity.

Has anybody here tried these that can provide feedback? They are kinda pricey, but having some around for wearing when doing active things like hiking, etc.. might be worth it.

Thanks,
Darin

I got a couple of these as a sample from KC Medical. BTW they have super customer service. They are very comfortable indeed, but unfortunately they suffer from many of the faults that almost all adult pull-ups do. Padding doesn't come up far enough in the front for most guys, capacity is fairly limited and they don't work very well if you are lying down. They did stay up better than regular pull ups though. Now if only they could make something like an adult-sized Goodnites that has padding that goes all the way to the top. When I was younger they worked pretty well for me.

So I certainly won't be spending $140 on a case of the Abriflex Specials, but I will probably order my next case of Abena from them due to the experience I had with them.
