Wed Jul 08, 2015 6:54 am

Tena has announced a new diaper - the TENA Slip Active Fit Maxi.

The announcement says "TENA Slip Active Fit is specially designed for individuals with an active lifestyle. This plastic-backed incontinence product with a fast-acting core and extended absorbency provides excellent leakage protection. The Easy Fix fastening secures a comfortable fit. TENA Slip Active Fit Maxi is suitable for longer wearing duration and overnight use."

The diaper has a plastic back-sheet, wetness indicator, and re-closable tapes. The absorbency was not stated.

At least we get another plastic-backed Tena Slip!

Sounds like Tena actually listens to it's customers. Yeah!

Now we have a hand full of good diaper manufactures that get it. Cloth like backing is best for individuals that are bedridden. More active people needs the odour and leak protection of the plastic backed diapers or people around you will now when you have wet no matter how much water you drink.

Thanks for posting this John. I was beginning to feel a bit like a hoarder with my remaining bags of Tena Slip Maxi's. Every time I ended a month with a little $$ left over, I'd order another case of plastic Tena's just to "pad" my inventory before they disappeared. Now maybe I can relax a bit once this new product is available.

Hi JD: Can you post a link to that announcement? All I can find is a reference to the TENA in India. :?

Thanks in advance!

CJinNM,

I understand how you feel. I too have a stash of Tena Slip Maxi with the plastic shell. I have been saving those for special "dress up" occasions when I need plastic, thin, and absorbent! Let's hope the new Tena diaper comes through before I run out of the old ones.

ILuvLA,

Unfortunately, I did not keep a record of the link about the new Tena plastic-shell diaper. :(
