gtrudeau,

The figures for the L2 sound inflated. However, it all depends on which test was used.

The ISO rating is for 3,100 ml or 105 fl oz. However that is for a test where the diaper is dipped into saline until saturated, lifted out until it stops dripping, and then is weighed. It assumes that 100% of the diaper's mat is totally saturated, which could not happen in actual use. However, it still is a commendable rating for a L2 diaper when compared to others of similar design.

Per XP Medical, the L3 is rated for 58 ounces at its maximum useable absorbency. In normal use you probably would not get even half of that. The L2 certainly would be rated much less than the L3.

For comparison, a NorthShore Supreme is rated at 40 ounces of useable capacity.
