Hi all just been to him today to ask for referral to gastric clinic at same times as inco advisers! As when spoke to them other day about prob and find out about appointment said about that i'd had ibs type problem with ulcer in bowl so they said to get referral as can do both at sametime etc.
Well quack said i can't see any connections and no point in so many words
this is same one that said if you have problem with spine etc that it would make organs to get wrong signals ie work wrong? after others have said it would ie my thyroid was realy out in blood tests (under active).
Got my appointment to see advisor middle of march so left in limbo till then?
Trying for cancellation?
asked why so long? said he didnt say urgent or it didnt seem? which could only be by way hes sent?
So said to him about it today! Yes i did say urgent was his reply!
Just gives me the arse said to him in not quite like that hes taking the piss.did be actually polite and beleive me and i can rip a few strips of people when i want to? but keep calm but does make me feel like i wish i hadn't even bothered to seek his help now as took enough effort to broach it in first place!

Yes Garry, doctors can be a pain, and not really understand that it is a big problem/inconvienence living day to day with incontinence. One day in your shoes and his mind would surely change quickly. Stay on him about getting into see the specialist, and he will understand that you would like it sooner rather then later. Mine is not really too helpful since I broke the news to him, other then sending me off to see the Urologist, and nopthing became of the tests he did, as nothing immediately noticeable for a cause was found. I can manage it, have for a long time the way it is, and no one is the wiser as I don't let it affect me in any really noticeable way, other then shorter trips out of the house. Hope you get some answers when you do finally get in, keep us updated! :) Puffy

Hi thanks for reply Puffy pants.
Just had a chat with NHS Direct about it and they said ask to speak to manager and explain about it and also said that advisor are correct as should know as specialist in that department!
Plus another thing Did explain about what nurse at an inco specialist recommended to get by with for funeral that i spoke about! As asked him and he just said no no no going on about kidney stones with using cath? well wasn't going to use for months only day.not even being rational about it!
Said i'd have to get from inco advisors.so now i'm let like an F'in piggie in the middle and feel like why did i bother even asking for any help and just kept it to me self?
But the best bit was!!!! Well what do you think he said do? Go without any fluids so i'm dehydrated? Whats the first thing all these sites say and nurse @NHS Direct said don't go without fluids they said you should drink more not less

Hey Garry, yes he seems to have blown it a bit out of proportion for sure, one day with a foley would not cause kidney stones... risk of an infection yes, but it takes years of long term use to have more serious side effects... I would seriously look into the external catheter, ever with your illness, a silicone type with a skin prep to get a good seal will work just fine I am sure, been using them for years with no problems thus far. Coloplast is terrific to deal with, samples can be sent to you within a week or 2, and they are the answer for when a diaper will not work out. Hollister is another option, and will also send out samples. Dehydration is not the answer, they gut is misinformed fool... Puffy

Hi puffy pants have already looked at that option but bard nurse said it wouldnt work/be suitable as when i need to go i withdraw as she calls it like it tenses so also makes it hard to pee properly aswell. That was why she recommended the foley instead.
Having raynauds is having a big effect onit aswell i'm finding and going to see if they can test to see if its part of an underlaying problem ie lupus/fibro myalgia which my sister has. plus another in that bracket scio something? as i get so cold even with a hot water bottle i can be feeling shivering cold in bed.
My foot was so cold last night that i couldn't even feel hot water bottle

Was having a chat with a very good chemist today and he said you have realy done you're homework on matters and was impressed by my knowledge on medical matters! well did physi n anatomy in my coaching courses plus with weight training.so knows i'm not thick on matters?
did show him vertabre in neck that i can rock and said you need to get that checked out as that will cause problems.

Had a chat with office manager in quacks being polite.g'rrr! as practice manager wasnt in.got appointment with senior quack on friday.
she said bring it up with him about and see what he can do plus try to bring appointment forward for advisors?
plus one other thing with foley which nurse said would be good to do same time is flow chart as if i'm leaking/letting go won't get an accurate reading? have to do for some many days!
so would do sametime so atleast charts would be done in case i get brought forward/cancellation? Well here's holding my breath? LOL
What you/they say about infections! That is why nurse gave me a model number to ask for which has a coating/treatment to lessen it? won't say stop as nothing stops infections anyway in life?
But atleast makes it minimal risk.Which i guess is all you can do?
But if it works well great and if it don't well atleast it's something tried etc and chemist said that they have moved on so much with them now even in the last year as he deals with quite alot of people that have to use as have lost limbs etc as deals with alot of ex and ones trying to get off drugs.
and we think we have problems was talking to a guy that had lost leg etc he had got on drugs from when 16 after ripping finger off and hospital pumped him full of morphine and he didn't know much then got into wrong life after with taking gear to feel like that?but take my hat off to him as atleast he was trying to get a life back so fair play to him.
