Anyone that has CES will have other issues besides being incontinent. Most of it is pain control. There are days that you don't have much pain, but then are days when you have severe pain. I wear a back brace and something called a TENS unit that helps control pain. Pain meds just mask the pain so using other sources to manage the pain is a daily routine depending on the level of pain.
