A very long time ago, I tried the Afex system, and it was coverd by insurance. I didn't have a good seal during sitting down due to lack of adhesive, so it wasn't something I thought was worthwhile. I recently revisted that. Instead of a jock strap, I got a full brief shelling out for that. I still have some wetting on the undewear if I wet sitting down, don't know what that is about, but standing up, the system works quite well. I went ahead and invested in a system that includes both receptacles, and figure having a setup for sitting and a set up for standing. I only intend to use this around the house, never in public. It would definetly help cut down on diapers used, and thus needing to be washed. I think that alone is worth the cost. It may be that with t this system, I eliminate the need for disposables entirely, with the exception of travel.
Peace out!
Rob
