I am using northshore air premium in size medium I look forward to hearing from you guys thanks. Please feel free to pm me as well. please no negative commen[/color]ts.

Here is what I do:

I place the diaper on a table and mark where I want the lower tape, I do not fasten them now.

When I am ready to put the diaper on I sit and then fasten the lower tapes around my legs. I then stand up and pull up the diaper and fasten the upper tapes for a snug fit.

I works for me.

if possible I would do the entire operation standing. and like most things practice makes perfect.
1000+ per year.. I use the same diaper for day use and have had no issues.but do follow the northshore
recommendation to fold the diaper longways to get it ready for use. in my case lining up the rear to the top of my natural waist
location then leaning back against a wall or door to hold it in place whlle bringing up the front does fine for me.
the lower tapes go first then the upper. .. the process takes about a tenth of the time it took to post this.
usually under 20 secs start to finish.

Here's a tip that may help...

As others have said first prep the diaper by folding it lengthwise to form a V-shaped channel. Then stand against a wall with the back of the diaper between you and the wall and bring the front of the diaper forward between your legs. But before applying the first tape reach "waaaay back under" and physically make sure the leak guards and elastic gathers are not twisted and are resting firmly against your body/legs and not riding up on anything else. Only then should you pull the front top of the diaper firmly upwards and apply the tapes. Personally I apply the top tapes first. They will hold the diaper in place and give me time to get the general fit of the diaper, and position of the lower tapes just right. However most apply the bottom tapes first, which is fine, and you will just have to experiment to find which method works best for you.

When you do the "fit check" you will find that much of the time the gathers were not resting firmly in contact with your body/leg which is absolutely critical to prevent leaks. Give this a try, you just might be surprised to find that the fit in this critical leak prone area isn't quite as good as you thought.

Hi Gabe,

This is what works for me, but everyone is different, so there may be some trial and error. The first step is to make sure you are wearing the correct size. Disposables vary I cut, so even though the size range of a medium may say it fits, in reality it may run smaller or larger. I am between sizes, so some brands of mediums fit well, while other brands I need a large. In Northshore, I wear a medium MegaMaxx, but in the Supreme I need a large.

While I will put on a diaper standing up when necessary (say in a public restroom) I prefer to do it lying down. My routine is as follows:

I lay the diaper out and fluff up the front, making a V as others have noted and also ensuring the leak guards are standing. I lay down, pulling the back up to just above my pelvic bones and making sure it is centered side to side. I then pull the front up and through and make sure it is centered, then pull the front right wing down around my leg, being careful not to pull the back out of alignment. I tape the right bottom tape first, then repeat on the left lower, followed by the left upper and finally the right upper. When applying the bottom tapes, I have found what works best for me it to pull them kind of up and toward my opposite hip, which helps prevent the tapes from moving down and getting stuck to my legs. I pull the top tapes straight across, making sure they are snug.

Hope this helps and good luck!
