I' m glad that externals work for you. One of my urologists insisted that I try one; he even wrote orders that enterostomal therapists were to teach me how to use externals. I had a pants-soaking accident four hours after they put one on me. I guess my skin must be oily, because I could never get the condoms to stay on. More recently, the loss of bowel control has made externals moot.
