Hey all,
I have been experimenting with a simulated flat diaper, that is, my fleece blanket. Basically, i wanted to know whether a origami fold in a 44 square would fit. It actually fit well, but the problem i kept running into is how to pin it. If i pin it on the sides, the front falls down. If i pin it in the middle, the sides are loose. Granted, I know this is an experiment, and fleece probably isnt the same as gauze.. but it just seems pinning a flatold is just a wee bit tedious and hard to do. Then again i am using baby pins.. yes i know there are other diaper folds out there.. but it seems origami would be the simplest. Maybe it will work eventually, if i try hard enough.. but it just seems that there are a lot of unknowns.
Has anyone used flatfolds? What folds do you find best? I still don't know if im completly sold on the idea of using cloth without a stay dry liner..
Also, from what I hear, the biggest downside of AI0 is that the cover wears out before the absorbent layers do. Can anyone give me an idea how long an AIO would last?
Peace out!
Rob
