Post subject:  Seem to be using Abena more and more.. until stones pass

Hey all,

I noticed something recently, and I'm not sure if i should feel sad about it, or just realize that it was inevitable to come to this point. I used to only wear Abena or other extended wear types when I was in public, and couldnt easily get to the restroom, and wear my attends athome. But recently, when I had these kidney stones come, and they wanted me to drink extra fluids which in turns means more spontenous wettings, i figure better pad up with Abena. Now it seems that I actually reach for a thicke diaper by default rather than my attends. I did notice that I am way more comfortable sleeping in abena or a quality diaper than i am in my Attends.

I cannot say for sure whether my incotnence is geting worse, its about the same.. about two or 3 times a day i make it to the toilet.. the rest ends up in the diaper.. or, on a good day, out of the restroom visits, half are succesful, give or take. But i do notice a subtle change in my attitudes toward protection choices. I would rather pad up premium than go with medicaid..possibly due to wanting to avoid leaks. So, it seems that I am giving in toward heavier protection, just a little bit. Is this a bad thing, or am I finally accepting reallity that my control will get worse as time goes on?

Peace out!

Rob

I don't think it is a bad thing. I think it is "natural progression" of acceptance. We get to the point where we trust the premium diapers more because they work better and we know they can handle just about any situation. So we gravitate towards what we know we can rely on and won't cause any embarrasment or major problems.
