Biggest tip, don't sweat it. Normally no one will have a clue let alone care what you are doing. Believe it or not, the more people and the bathroom, the better. With a lot of people in the room means a lot of noise and racket to cover the sound of the diaper comng off and going back on.
Last tip is practice changing standing up. unfold the diaper and place the back waist band in place and lean up against the wall and then put it on. It works so well it is my prefered way to get a disposable on.

Good luck

My worst fear just became a reality.
My diaper leaked.
It wasn't a lot because I was able to catch it in time, but it was enough to make me never want to go out again. At least until I get better ones.
Ugh.

Yup.....you're going to need a heavier diaper. You will need to experiment with some heavy duty/ extended wear options. Look into diaper retailers that allow samples, you'll need to try a bunch of different brands......I'm not sure of the best ones for heavy wetting as I am more of a light leaker than a heavy flooder......

but how do i put it on in a public restroom laying down? thats not gonna happen.

I use a wall to help put on my diaper practice a few times at home and you will get the hang of it quickly. Always try to get the larger stalls to make it easier but even in the smaller ones you can even use the back of the stall door just not put to much weight again end the door :)

We are all continually learning and finding better ways to deal with wearing 24/7 I miss the convenience. Of pull-ups but they don't have the protection I need any more

Yea I'm starting to get the hang of putting one on standing up!
I definitely prefer putting it on laying down, but it's getting better!

Justej,

Remember that the fit is critical. If the leg gathers do not conform to your personal anatomy, the absorption will not matter much as you will leak. The same is true for any diaper, regardless of cost.

John -
I was wearing attends. They leaked horribly.
I've discovered molicare and abena fit me really well. I think that the way the attends are made they just don't fit me well at all
