We are coming up soon on a full week since my cytoscope-guided botox injection procedure. I am pleased to report that i have been dry as a bone. I don't think this is a fluke, because my bladder has not been spasming like it usually does and I have been hydrating normal amounts. The one hitch is that they think I have slight retention, but not a huge amount, but enough to cause some concern. So, they have me starting Flomax. One pill nightly before bed. I am cautiously optimistic. Of course, I am still wearing protection in public. That will be the case until I have a month of complete dryness under my belt. For the time being, I am not counting the episodes where i release urine in my bathtub, because any number of things can trigger that.. could be a psychosomatic reflex... a reaction to warm water etc. It is a psycological process rework to trust myself again to not leak, to be willing to attempt to make it to the toilet when I have a signal of full or nearly full versus letting go and let the protection do its thing. Its going to be weird wearing regular underwear in public. I'm just so used to being padded that its going to be a major adjustment. The point is though, I will be dry hopefully for a good while. It's not permanent, but its a MUCH needed break from the rising cost of disposoables and laundry regimens from cloth diapers.
Peace out!
Rob
