Cloth while out?

Sun Oct 14, 2018 1:20 pm

So cloth has proven for me to work out pretty well. I only have been wearing them in the house, though. If you are out, what do you do with a wet one until you get home? I use pocket diapers and am thinking putting them in a gallon ziploc bag is going to be my best bet.

What do you all do?

I keep a gym/diaper bag handy when I'm out and about. In it I keep all the supplies I need to change, including supermarket bags with twist ties, pre-moistened handy wipes, some skin cleanser/emollient, and two to five clean diapers. On extended stays I include a clean pair of pants.

So the supermarket bags keep the smell at bay? I actually buy them in bulk from Ebay and use them for disposables. Didnt think about using them for cloth since I thought it wouldnt do well for odors. I've carried backpacks/messenger bags for years so that I already do.

Some supermarket bags are torn; but if the bags are intact, and if the ties are twisted tightly enough, no odor escapes.

Justej,
Check out “Planetwise”. They make wet/dry bags. They come in different sizes and they zip and hold in smells. My wife and I used cloth diapers for our kids. Planetwise bags are where we kept soiled items till we got home. They do hold up and are good quality (relatively inexpensive). They come in lots of cool patterns. I have a large one and paid roughly $30 I think.
