About the last 6 months, instead of using vinegar I've been using "a splash" of bleach. As the machine is nearing the full mark,I'll open the jug of bleach and pour in probaly no more than a 1/2 cup of bleach for a full load. I make sure when I am adding it, I don't pour directly on the diaper but into the water, so the concentrated bleach doesn't tuch the diaper.
No ammonia buildup!
