I've been on it, two separate times for three months each. This is the only medication I've taken which actually did something for me (and I've literally been on every medication that might possibly help with urinary problems).

For me, it reduced the frequency of my urges and the intensity of those urges by about 25%. The only real side effects were slight dizziness when I first got up in the morning (which faded quickly), and the all too common dry mouth. Ultimately it did not help enough though, so I discontinued taking it and sought a more permanent and effective treatment (surgery).

Oh, and it helps if you break up the word and sound out each syllable more like this. "mir-beh-trek".

its been about a month and its not helping.
i still have accidents about 95% of the time.
and im so thirsty all the time. which seems to defeat the purpose because i always have to carry a water bottle with me so i have something to drink. which in turn makes me pee more.
ah well....i see my urologist on the 5th so we shall see.

I have been on it, caused dry mouth I drank a lot more while on it, also dizziness, and nausea.

It did reduce the frequency somewhat, but instead added retention which showed on an scan of my bladder. In the after discussing with my doctor I was off the medicine again, and I was back to normal within short time e.g. diapers etc. but then again, I was also in need of diapers when I was on the medicine anyway....

so no, for me it was not an improvement, actually on the contrary.

jms - ive got the dizziness and nausea too.

i just read through rope wrenchs thread about oab meds and noticed this was talked about there too.

ive tried oxybutin, flomax, and now this. im sure the doctor is going to go up in doseage, but honestly i dont know if i can handle it. i get dizzy so easily and when trying to get up rapidly to make it to the bathroom i still have accidents.

i dont have much faith in incontinence meds or my new urologist. i think hes just throwing pills at me. i dont think he knows 100% whats going on (he didnt seem concerned that when doing tests my old doctor couldnt even get a baby catheter in me. he was like "oh they got it in when you were asleep". thats a bit concerning to me....)

anyway.....
