Hello again for the first time in a long time. I hope everyone is doing well.
What I am asking about today is the noise that happens at night when my bladder suddenly empties into the urine bag. The issue is that sometimes the running water sound wakes my wife up. How can I quiet the noise just a bit? If I have the bag level in the bed with my I would worry about leaks or worse blowing the condom off because the urine is not running down hill. Maybe if I have the bag laying on it's side on a box next to the bed? Any and all ideas will be at least considered.
Thank you for any help you can give with this issue.

Wrapping a towel around the bag should muffle the noise, but of course you will have to properly support the combined weight of the bag and towel.

When I had to use an indwelling cath (for 11 weeks) I don't recall that being an issue. I think the bag started out very flat with little to no air space in it so any urine that came into it seemed to roll down the sides rather than do the drip-drip thing.
