After trying several different "solutions" for my incontinence (caused by the removal of my prostate) I've found that for me, Men's Liberty is the best answer to this problem. And as a vet, the VA pays for these! Medicaid and your insurance will also pay for these! But they won't pay for diapers or pads for some reason. Men's Liberty costs about $10 each, and you get about 30 of them each month in a plain box. They also have a few other products that will help those with incontinence.

I've had good relations with the company and have no issues with either the product or the company, which is based in Florida. If you have any questions before, or when using Men's Liberty, you can call their free "nurse hotline" for quick help. It does take a few days to get used to applying Men's Liberty, and you must follow directions exactly for them to be effective. They are normally worn for 24 hours (however, I've had them last up to three days. After using them for several months now, I've never had any pain, irritation, etc by using these. and one size fits all. Really! They take only a few minutes to attach, and they come off easily in the shower. The Bioderm/Men's Liberty company have many videos on Youtube that fully explains and shows you how to use these. You can also check out their website at MensLiberty.com.

I know what you are going through with incontinence, and wish you all the best!

I tried them but found I could not get a good seal with the petals, I primarily use a Coloplast external catheter, good for 24 hours with never an issue, and covered by my extended benefits, which is a bonus, as briefs and pull-ups are not. :-)

The Men's Liberty is not exactly a "condom" catheter, as they do not cover the entire penis – only the tip. They just attach to the end of the penis using sticky "pedals" which conform to ANY SIZE penis. This process is closed after you wrap another small piece of adhesive backed "tape" around the pedals to keep them on. This special adhesive has been used in hospitals for years and works!

The "Texas-style Catheters only fit those who still have a regular sized penis, and it's hard to find one that fits exactly. I've tried these and they have always fallen off. Where-as the "one size fits all" Men's Liberty adjusts to ANY size penis - even small ones that have shrunk because of surgery – like mine. But for these to work, they MUST be applied EXACTLY as stated in the instructions.

Nothing is perfect, but I think you should at least try Men's Liberty. And don't give up at first, keep using them as prescribed and they will work! They have a few million users, so there must be something to these. It's the best thing I've come across for me, but I am always looking for anything new that might work better. And again, you have nothing to lose, as these are paid for by insurance, the VA, and more.

I've been where you're at, and I know the issues you are dealing with. Good luck in finding what's best for YOU!

I had very poor results with them. I had a public leak when i had one come off just before having an episode. I had no choice but to stand in a classroom unprotcted waiting for class to get over hoping my bladder wouldnt let loose again. Every time I have tired mens liberty the result is the same:Leaks.. Ill take my tried and true diapers any day, thank you very much.

My urologist disagreed loudly with my decision to use diapers to manage incontinence. He wrote an order that I be taught how to use external catheters by nurse/enterostomal therapists. They put the petals on me, strapped the leg bag in place, and sent me home. Four hours later the contraption came unglued and I had a pants-soaking accident. Never again.
