Thinking of comfort, adhering to the bed, etc. Northshore has many varieties and I was wondering what you think of them all.

Good question and good timing as I am about to buy the same thing and was doing some research. I am hoping that others will chime in with recommendations.

I'm looking for a reusable of about 36" x "42" or more in length.

It seems that, as cloth absorbency is more or less the same from manufacturer to manufacturer, the only big difference affecting absorbency is the size of the pad and how heavy the fabric is, producing absorbencies of around 45 oz. in the XL size (35 x 42").

Most of the better products claim over 200 washings. I found one listing only 60!

Currently I am looking at the Northshore Champion Washable Tartan. No reason for the Tartan except that it looks a little less medical.

Thoughts, anyone?

John, I haven't looked at Northshore at all for any of my needs. I like the Snoozy's washable surface bedpad from Rite-Aid, but they're only 30 x 36. The Bedwetting Store has some nice washables, too, but I don't think they are as long as you require. I'm going to check out Northshore right now for both pull-ups and bedpads.

John, I think Northshore's Champion Tartan washable bedpad is a great choice. It appears to be a good product, and the price for the size you need is very reasonable. They have a really great selection. I'm thinking about using them in addition to XP Med for my recurring orders.

Rob and Wetters,

Thanks for your comments. I'll order later today.

After I get the pad I'll post my review for the benefit of others.

Brolly Sheets are brilliant. PUL-backed, so they are quiet and don't get hot. Machine wash and dry. There is a version that can be tucked in under the mattress so they stay in place: http://m.brollysheetsusa.com/brolly-she ... Wings.html

I keep one on the bed, under the fitted sheet. It's not noticeable.

We use a quilted, vinyl-backed mattress cover that can be tucked into the sides and bottom of the mattress. As long as I remember to go to bed dry and wear heavy protection, I rarely need to change it. I do have smaller waterproof pads that I use on chairs only when I must sleep sitting up.

I received my Northshore Champion Tartan washable bedpad. I am quite satisfied with it and very much like the Tartan design as it makes it look less institutional.
