I see this is a little bit older of a thread so hopefully you've found something that works for.

I have to add that when cost is a big concern you really need to look at it as a cost per day, not cost per diaper. Every diaper will last different amounts of time, and the cheaper diapers may end up costing you more if you have to change too often.

As an example, lets say diaper A costs $0.50 each, but it will only last 2 hours. Now there is diaper B which cost $1.75 each. Most would say ouch that's too expensive, and just try to add expensive booster to "make them work". However, diaper B also lasts 8 or more hours. In a 24 hour period, diaper A will cost you $6.00, yet diaper B will only cost you $5.25.

I rounded off the prices to make it easier to understand, but this is exactly the difference between a depends protection with tabs, and a confidry24/7. So not only are they cheaper overall, but you will have to worry much less about leaks and changing. That's just my $0.02 though.
